The standard Altair 5X uses a dual catalytic bead system to read LEL gases. They have an IR version available for % VOL CH4 and CO2, but it uses a different board and is a separate model of the 5X.
Does the MSA Altair 5x use catalytic sensors to detect gases or do you use an infrared technique instead?
