Yes it can! You will see Methane (natural gas) displayed as a %LEL figure, which means that it shows the % of the lower explosive limit of Methane (5.0%). It is however calibrated to the Pentane curve, so the value will show up approximately 2x the value in the room when you look at the screen. To find the Methane value in the room, just divide the %LEL you see by 2 and you'll have your natural gas reading in LEL.
If you're looking to see Volume levels instead of seeing units as a percent of the explosive limit, they do sell a % VOL NDIR sensor than can detect the full range from 0-100% VOL. Send us an email if you'd like more details on that sensor.
