Theoretically they come calibrated from the factory, but depending on where you pick yours up it may have been on the shelf for a while. I'd recommend calibrating it when you receive it, bump testing it daily before use, and then calibrating it if it ever fails bump test, or at the 180 day mark. We recommend a monthly calibration instead of a 180 day cal like BW recommends, but that's up to you to decide which to follow.
